Garden Bench Restoration - 2 of Them!
This restoration project was for my In-laws anniversary gift. Theses have been in need of restoration so with the help of my wife and her sisters we disassembled them, repainted the frames, refinished the wood on one and cut new boards for the other. I think they turned out great!

Bolens Compact Tractor Brushhog - Can It Handle It?
Переглядів 4,9 тис.Рік тому
I have a Bolen G152 which is a 2-wheel drive 15 HP diesel compact tractor. Some might even call it a sub-compact tractor. I really wanted to try a brush hog on the tractor to clear my back lot. I bought this 48" King Kutter brush hog used to see if the small diesel tractor could handle the brushhog. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Bolens (Iseki) could handle it just fine. Even though...

Display Cabinet with Glass Doors Made From Old Flooring and Scrap Plywood. The flooring came from my house after remodeling the front foyer, the plywood was all leftover scrap from other projects. I had all the paint, stain, and poly from other projects. The only thing I bought was the glass and the hooks. Craftsman Jointer Refurbish
Переглядів 8 тис.2 роки тому
I bought this Craftsman 6 1/8" Jointer/Planer new about 28 years ago. It's been through some abuse and lived in an unheated garage for 15 years where the environment took it's toll on it. Now that my shop is heated it's time to refurbish it and get it back to like-new condition. Rustic Liquor Shelf from Pallet Wood, Iron Pipe, and Metal Bracketry
Переглядів 14 тис.2 роки тому
I needed a liquor shelf behind the bar in my garage man cave, so I used some old pallet wood to build this rustic shelf in about a day. I finished it with a mix of Ebony and Cabernet stain followed by two coats of water-based poly. This shelf uses steel brackets and black iron pipe for a cool rustic decor. Replacing a Gambrel Style Shed Roof with Amish Steel Roofing
Переглядів 25 тис.2 роки тому
We saved this old shed with a rotting gambrel style roof by replacing the 1/2" OSB sheathing and finishing with steel roofing. The roofing I used was from an Amish "Tin Shop" that bends each rib at a time with a giant forming press brake run off a gasoline engine. Can I Cover This Old Fireplace with a Custom Built-in Cabinet?
Переглядів 1,4 тис.2 роки тому
An unused fireplace takes up space, but what if you could do something with that space? I built this custom cabinet to cover the fireplace perfectly and to also function as an entertainment center with a large spot for a DVD player, gaming console, Wi-Fi router, etc. Then behind the doors are shelves for DVDs, Video games, etc. I made this custom DIY built-in from MDO Plywood and Select Pine fo...

Radial Arm Saw Table Built Into my Workbench
You realize that you have two screws bearing all the weight of the rafters and sheathing ….bolts would help but what do I know
I’d go 12 inch centers in case I decide later to use synthetic boards later on the stringers and use joist hangers to attach stringers
This is amazing. Thanks for the lesson!
@rjgaynor8
“Who would wanna look at steel siding” clown 😅tried to say vinyl and aluminum were better cause you could paint them
@rjgaynor8
That discreet paint can throw was slick...lol😄
Thank you for the idea!
Thank you!
We found one today. I wonder if the big thunderstorms and hail this week stressed one of my fluffy butts?
I eat 2 eggs a day.. I have a family of four .. that means we eat 8 eggs a day.. that means 2920 eggs a year.. how many chickens do I need? 😅
Wow. That looks awesome. And you make it look too easy. :)
I have a bolens dgt1700 and love it
Go blue
Unless your building needs reinforcement, using wood panelling is kind of pointless for a shop. It's best to use free stand shelving, racks and cabinets to properly store tools and heavy equipment. Prettiness is for guys who want to show off and drink beer while doing oil changes. Nothing wrong with that, but real workshops don't look like that, with exception to needing some insulation for winter.
Nice job. Over the years, I've built many complex forms for concrete sculptures. Well done.
I have a chance to get one of these it has a loader attached to it now in a rear blade implement the front grill is damaged and it needs a clutch installed. He wants $500
Thanks
I'm not sure how this showed up on my list, I was watching vids on how to make everything quieter for the neighbors. That was getting pretty dull, so I'm glad this showed up when it did! Looks like fun! I might try it with a little butane before filling it with air and leaving a few candles nearby. for rainy days.
Muy buen video gracias por compartir 😊
Exactly what I was looking for! The most efficient way ever. Thanks!
Feed it to the chickens! Extra protein!
ive been breaking pallets down for a while now... and THEY NEVER BREAK DOWN THAT EASY!!! ...rofl but beautiful cross none the less
Watching this made me tear up a little. To see a sturgeon of that size in the wild - to see so MANY swimming there, of all sizes - it makes me happier than I know how to tell you. Sturgeon are the most threatened genus of animals on the planet; every species of sturgeon is threatened in some way. They are extremely vulnerable to pollution and rising water temperatures, and they also have to contend with the damming of their spawning routes and their allure as caviar fish. To see so many wild sturgeon, it’s just wonderful.
What does the 81 come from
I wanted to like this video so much, but the "heighth" was really getting to me!!! It's "height", not "heighth". I know people think of "width" and want to put the "th" on the end just like "width". But there is no "th". It's just "height"... :)
HA. Regional dialects make life fun. A Midwesterner and a Brit are in an elevator: MW: "Where are you from?" Brit: "Sir, we do not end our sentences with a preposition" MW: "Ok. Where are you from, a$$hole."
So I added christmas lights last year and I think it lifted some of the shingles since I can hear them move with anything over 15 mph wind. What can I do? The roof is a few years old. Fairly new.
Never use treated wood under aluminum it causes problems down the road
Nicely done. I'm actually having a crew finish up the last apron now for an entrance to my metal building. I should have everything done next week providing rain doesn't stop progress. I'm just a big kid having fun with new toys. Have a fine weekend. 👍🏽🤠 05/04/24
I have a bench like this in my yard and never even thought about restoring it. I was probably just going to drag it in the woods. Now I have a project that the kids can help with. Thank you for the idea!
Thank you for the video from Georgia! It was super helpful and I appreciate the math on how you calculated the concrete! I am in need of some steps off my patio and I'm looking at several different ways to do it. Pavers, stone, cinder block, etc. Your video makes me want to do concrete! Thanks again!
🤔 Interior wall covering for the shop. Hmmm. Let's reference Ed Gein.
My fairy egg had a perfectly formed tiny yolk.
Thanks for the video, but there is no "h" at the end of "height".
Ha! You must be of the metric system. I’m too but most Americans pronounce an h at the end
Damn!!!! Awesome job
How long will this fix be good for?
if it wasn't for texture I'd be a lover of drywall I hate texture lol great video was looking at what to do inside a shed I had built
Wouldn't my neighbors love that! 🤪🤪🤣🤣🤣 Pop bottles are much stronger, they're rated for higher pressures, water bottles aren't. The 2L bottles should make an awesome BANG!! 😮😮
Love the color and great job showing and telling, wish me luck on building my first pole barn. Watching people like you sure helps, thanks for the great video have a one see ya bye.
Easyyyyyy moneyyyyy hahahahaha
Prime the ceiling, and then do this
great video
Nice looking bench. Well thought out
Highly recommend that you keep the magneto on that tractor. If you wanted or had to, you could crank start it by hand even with a dead battery… very reliable.
Was this on the sturgeon river near Wolverine Michigan
Yes, between Wolverine and Indian River
Is the perimeter foam 24 inches into the ground going down to your local frost depth ?? Where I live in Nebraska that would be 36 inches deep!! That would be very difficult in our clay soil.!
No, our frost depth here is 42". It's just to minimize the heat loss to the exterior soil
Thank you very much.
Very helpful, thanks. You're a good teacher 👍🏻
Like your different options , I used drywall on the lower half and knotty pine tongue and groove in the upper half
thisll sort ure fly problem.... watch?v=V1vFUGrRY24
3/24/24 - I'm prepping the basement floor now in my new foundation. Very simple solution. Great critic and explanation.
Did you build the three point hitch
you've got to be the fastest siding installer I've ever seen
